The AFS is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building community for the non-religious in the Lehigh Valley. We can be contacted at

Our mission statement:
The Allentown Freethought Society is a member-run organization whose purpose is building community for, and protecting the rights and reputation of non-religious people in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. We seek to develop an environment where atheists, agnostics, humanists and other freethinkers can socialize, learn, and live without suffering religious insults to their intelligence.
We advocate a strict separation of church and state and are willing to use any rational and civil means to protect and sustain it. To this end, We educate the public about church/state separation, living a respectable non-religious life, and other related matters.
Our only requirement for membership is a lack of religious belief, and we welcome all who fit that description.
